testBased on laboratory scale growing tests Shira suggests further development using an all-year-round aeroponics vegetable growing system process from seedlings through to harvesting.

testHow does it work?

testPropagation phase
As required, the grower initiates the growing process either by germinating or plugging seedlings onto the upper Styrofoam material (Image A) in which roots soon develop within the lower growing bench (Image B). Seedlings can be propagated either by rooting mature tomato branches (Image C) or by rooting of young plants (Image d).

testAccording to the plant growth rate, the plant should be tied to a roof network construction for vertical support. After the tomato fruit has been harvested, the grower removes leaves and moves the lower part of the stem down to the point where the next tomato fruit may be picked.

The root system is cut when new roots appear on the new stem part that has been pushed into the aeroponics growing bench.

testShira has experienced with vegetable crops starting stages by using its ultrasonic fogging generator as well.

Shira suggests using the AEROPONICS system for other intensive
agriculture production, for instance:
cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, herbs, medicines, etc.
